Project Management Post-Implementation Reviews

Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR)

The Post-Implementation Review occurs some period, typically three months, after the close of a project. This section describes purpose, participants, process, and PMO involvement in the Post-Implementation Review (PIR).

Purpose of the PIR

The PIR has two key purposes:

To determine if the business benefits and objectives of the project were met

To determine if appropriate project methodology, standards, and processes were followed, and what lessons can be learned to improve future project performance
