Adopt Project Management Knowledge Base

A online project management knowledge base is an advanced tool that includes all information about all projects plus interfaces that allows for new queries and analysis of the data. In many cases, a PMO will not develop a knowledge based during planning in preparation for execution, but will leave it until later. A project management knowledge base is most often an appropriate tool for PMO improvement. However, if the PMO is operating in an advanced IT environment that already implements knowledge bases, the PMO knowledge base can be launched when the PMO begins execution.

The project management knowledge base is usually part of a larger project management knowledge management system. This system also includes a document management system that automates project management tools , methodology, standards, processes, templates, and governance rules.
