Support Project Management Software

Support project management software . The software systems that the PMO adopts will require end user support and also maintenance. The PMO should provide or coordinate the provision of these services.

Administer databases. Database administration is a largely internal function, ensuring data integrity and proper functioning of the system. 

Administer knowledge base. A knowledge base is a complex system of software and data. It requires maintenance of both its database and its software components.

Update plans. In some organizations, the project plans are updated by the project manager or by a project administrator assigned to the project. However, having up-to-date plans is essential to the PMO's Report Status function. As a result, some PMOs choose either to bring all work of plan updating in house, or to have a project administrator update plans for projects when the project fails to provide up-to-date information.
