Provide Report Status Service

Perform the six activities shown in this diagram to provide the Project Status Report Service:

1.      Define Key Features of the Report Status Service

2.      Identify Stakeholders of the Report Status Service

3.      Provide the Report Status Service

4.      Evaluate the Report Status Service

5.      Improve the Report Status Service

Define key features of the report status service. Decide if the PMO should offer this service. If so, define its core features.

Identify stakeholders of the report status service. Report status service customers are those who receive reports. Stakeholders are those who provide information for the reports.

Provide the report status service. Gather status information, organize it, summarize it, and deliver it.

Evaluate the report status service. Get feedback from executives and the project manager .

Improve the report status service. Common improvements include ensuring timeliness of reporting and making the reports easier to understand.
