What Makes a Good Project Manager11 July 2010Managing a project is one of the most difficult tasks a leader has to do; it requires certain skills and characteristics that are important to get the job done. A good project manager should have these skills and characteristics in order for them to become to serve as an example and an inspiration to their people to perform well for the benefit of the project or the whole organization. A good project leader should have the love for their work as well as the challenges that he and his team may encounter along the way. Love of work entails living it, breathing it, becoming as one and treating it as his child. In this way, the project manager would get acquainted with even the smallest of details of the project. Having a clear understanding of the project’s vision is also an essential trait of a good project manger, because if a project manager sees the project’s vision clearly, he is in the right track to create an environment for his people to work in the right track and setting a positive tone to build a strong team. With a clear vision of the project’s vision, a project manager would be able to align the whole team or organization along with the project’s goal and vision.
